Top Summer Makeup Trends

Summer is officially here, and so are summer makeup trends! From Tiktok and Instagram to Hollywood, I am sharing Summers 2022 Top Makeup trends that anyone can master!

Blush, Contoured Trend

Contouring has ruled the makeup world for years. But a new trend we are seeing this Summer is the brightly colored, ultra-flushed cheeks everywhere, and makeup artists and beauty lovers have popularized the blush contour trend.

On TikTok, the hashtag #blushcontour has around 3.4 million views among many tutorial videos. But what the heck is blush contour? Well, beauties, it is precisely what it sounds like. The application involves using a cream blush, where you would typically apply contour or bronzer to sculpt the face, such as the hollows of the cheeks and around the forehead.

UnderLiner

With a dash of colorful eyeliner under the eye, undereye details are having a moment this Summer.

Whether with pops of color or a pastel eyeshadow, the key is to use the right liner and eye shadow formulation to nail this under eye makeup look. Otherwise, you could look like a hot mess.

By emphasizing this one feature with a powerfully pigmented color, you can elevate your Summer makeup looks while keeping the rest of your face neutral.

White Eyeliner Cat Eye

Another eyeliner look that is trending this Summer is a twist on the ever-so-loved cat-eye. Use a white liquid liner on top of your usual black wing liner to keep all the definition of black eyeliner but with the fresh trend of white.

Lash Lift

No, I'm not talking about a professional lash lift, but this trend, or more like an eyelash tip, is how professional makeup artists make false eyelashes look so glamourous.

Cutting your fake eyelashes in half and curling the outer piece is the trick. Then curl your natural eyelashes and apply a lengthening mascara. You can then finish the lash lift look by gluing the false lash piece to the outer part of the eye.

Warm Browns For A Safe Summer Glow

If you are looking for a safe summer tan, the best way to achieve this sun-kissed look is by using brown tones on your lips, eyes, and cheeks. Try a versatile product like my nude butter glosses for not only your lips but also for another trend of glossy lids! This also brings us to the next shiny, dewy trend.

Glazed Summer Skin Trend

Glazed Donut Skin is Summer's yummiest makeup trend. Just ask Hailey Bieber! It allows you to take your skin to next-level glossy, glowy, dewy skin.

This dewy look is perfect for a more youthful complexion. The key, however, is proper skincare, which involves moisturizing the skin at night, as nighttime is when our skin repairs itself. In the morning, do a double cleanse using face oil or a cleansing balm.

With glazed donut skin, hydration and protection of your skin barrier are key. Look for serums enriched with active antioxidants and products with ultra-hydrating ingredients like glycerin and squalane to leave skin soft, nourished, and glowy — just like a Krispy Kreme donut. And do not forget to exfoliate to get the smoothest skin possible.

And, of course, the glazed look doesn't stop there. For makeup, you can mix a facial oil into your foundation or use an oil-setting spray after applying your makeup.

Next, grab your favorite highlighter and apply it to the high points of the face, collarbones, and cheeks to give them a luminous, dewy, and glazed donut-like finish.

Complete the look with another trend, Laquered lips, using clear lip gloss with a hint of glitter

Bold Lipstick Trend

The bold lipstick trend isn't going away. It is expanding. Meaning a bold lip isn't just for late-night or a party. But it can be worn with the ever-so-trendy loungewear, even running errands. And if you are not sure which bold lipstick to wear. Then make sure to check out my guide to wearing a bold lipstick.

So, there you have it, Summers top makeup trends. From flushed cheeks, bronzy glow, dewy complexion, and bright pops of color these trends perfectly match the vibe of summer.
